The 3rd installment of our Fall/Winter contest went off at the end of November and if you missed it, it was pretty gnarly! On Saturday November 19th, C.J.'s held our annual Fall Contest, sponsored by S3 Snow, Skate, Surf. Some incredible tricks went off and everyone had a blast. Sumo Skateshop is back and will open in December at 2883 Lakeshore Blvd West! In partnership with C.J. Skateboard Park & School, Ryan Geluch and Kevin Bokma are proud to announce the triumphant return of South Etobicoke's premier skateshop. The location, which is very close to both the 8th Street Skatepark and CJ's, is under construction (and coming along nicely) as you read this. Stay tuned for a newer, better, tougher Sumo Skateshop to keep you barging!

PD / PA CAMP:
Don't miss the many PD / PA Day Camps offered at C.J.'s!
Our next PD / PA Day falls on December 9th & 23rd / 2011, so remember to register early.
Also don't forget about our weekly Holiday Day Camps we're offering this festive season. Register fast as our programs fill up very quickly!

Together we learn tons of new tricks and play games like dodge-ball, capture the flag and sticker slap. There will be arts and crafts, team building, and of course the best skate instruction anywhere! We might also see some surprise visits from some companies like Chip &Pepper who've popped in before and helped organize contests, gave out lots of product and skated all day with our Campers... it's always a blast!

There's always something happening in our Pro Shop! Come in and have a helmet properly fitted by our knowledgeable staff. While there you can check out all of our new products from: Independent, Anti Hero, Thunder, Spitfire, Element, Gold, Skate Mental, ATM, Shorty's, Venture, DGK, Theeve Trucks etc, etc... including branded stickers, and a larger wheel, brushing, truck and hardware selection. We now carry Bones Bearings, Bones bushings and of course, Bones Wheels in a variety of sizes and formulas.
We have also been making changes to our parent lounge! We now have a new big screen TV, Blue-Ray player, and entertainment centre, all in an air conditioned room with Surgically Clean Air! We have installed a wireless WiFi extender as well, so now you can receive wireless Internet throughout the park.
PROGRAMS
Family Skate is the best way to have fun with your children, every Sunday from 10am until 12pm. Our Family Skate program is a one hour group lesson, followed by one hour of open skate. The best part about Family Skate is that it is only $10 and includes any rentals needed! We are in need of a sponsor for Family Skate, which runs every Sunday morning, as a low cost way of bringing families into our park.
At C.J. Skateboard Park, we have a variety of different lessons and programs that people can attend. On Saturdays we offer a Beginner Group Lesson @ 10:00, a Girls Group lesson @ 11:00 and another Group Lesson @ 1:00.
One in particular that is growing and becoming very popular is our Beginner Group lesson. In our Beginner group lessons, we start off with a group stretch, and then our instructor will assess the different abilities of each student, and guide each of them in a direction to better their abilities. After the one hour lesson, students also get one hour of free skate to practice what they have learned. Our Beginner Group Lesson, in addition to Saturday morning at 10:00, is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 5:00pm and is only $20 and includes all rentals excluding a skateboard when you show us your CJ Membership card.
DEMOS / TEAM INFO:
Phil Vertolli has been doing a terrific job as our new Team Manager. He's also a great instructor at CJ's. This year's demo schedule has been busy and tons of fun! You may have seen us and our C.J.'s tent at the many parks throughout the GTA. If you've got demo suggestions or opportunities, or you're interested in becoming a C.J. Team Rider, C.J. Demo Rider or even a C.J. Volunteer, you can contact Phil at philippe@cjskateboardpark.com, or at 416-259-6888.
We are more than happy to bring our best instructors and volunteers to your school, event, or special occasion to perform a demo, including a talk on safety and answering any questions the attendees might have about C.J.'s and what we're all about.

If you have any old Skateboard decks that you no longer need, please drop them off at the park, as we are collecting skateboards to hang on our walls to create a cool visual. Also if you have any used equipment, please drop it off so we can donate it to people who may need it.
Please remember that C.J. Skateboard Park is a NOT-FOR-PROFIT Corporation specializing in hosting a safe environment for all skaters including those with special needs.

MEMBERSHIP CARDS:
Memberships are recommended and save you a lot of money, quickly. Next time you come in, we may ask you to have your picture taken. Our Cards are only $10 and last an entire year, the renewal fee for our membership cards will be $10 per year!
Cardholders are entitled to:
- Better pricing on open skate, Day pass: 12pm – 6pm or Night pass: 6pm – 10pm for only $10! Non-Members $15.
- Better pricing on All Day passes, 12pm – 10pm for only $15! Non-Members $20.
