On Saturday, March 17th 2012: C.J. Skateboard Park held its annual Spring Break Competition, sponsored in part by S3, Maple Lodge Farms, and Pizza Pizza. The competition was held in our Mini Ramp Area and we also did a best trick in the Foam Pit!

Right around the corner on Saturday, April 7th 2012: C.J. Skateboard Park will also be holding its annual Easter Jam Contest in our Street Section sponsored in part by S3, Maple Lodge Farms, and Pizza Pizza! Stay tuned for more details.

The Oasis Skateboard Factory was in this month for another great day of skating at CJ's. Pictured to the right is one of their artist / students who brought with them a fantastic gift for CJ's founder, Jay Mandarino. We're all looking forward to our continued partnership.

Sumo Skateshop is finished and opened at 2883 Lakeshore Blvd West on February 18th! The location, which is very close to both the 8th Street Skatepark and CJ's, looks great. Everyone involved has done a terrific job! Stay tuned for a newer, better, tougher Sumo Skateshop to keep you barging!

We just wrapped up another successful week of our annual March Break Camp. It was an action packed week for everyone who attended.

Together we learn tons of new tricks and play games like dodge-ball, capture the flag and sticker slap. There will be arts and crafts, team building, and of course the best skate instruction anywhere! We might also see some surprise visits from some companies like Chip & Pepper who’ve popped in before and helped organize contests, gave out lots of product and skated all day with our Campers... it's always a blast!

The new site features lots of great information and photos about all of our camps programs throughout the year and allows you to sign up and pay for camps from the comfort of your own home - stay tuned for more details!
PRO-SHOP NEWS
While there you can check out all of our new products from: Independent, Anti Hero, Thunder, Spitfire, Element, Gold, Skate Mental, ATM, Shorty's, Venture, DGK, Theeve Trucks etc, etc... including a huge assortment of stickers, and a larger wheel, bushing, truck and hardware selection. We now carry Bones Bearings, Bones bushings and of course, Bones Wheels in a variety of sizes and formulas.
We have also been making changes to our parent lounge! We now have a new big screen TV, Blue-Ray player, and entertainment centre, all in an air conditioned room with Surgically Clean Air! We have installed a wireless WiFi extender as well, so now you can receive wireless Internet throughout the park.
PROGRAMS
Family Skate is the best way to have fun with your children, every Sunday from 10am until 12pm. Our Family Skate program is a one hour group lesson, followed by one hour of open skate for families only. The best part about Family Skate is that it is only $10 and includes any rental safety equipment required! We are in need of a sponsor for Family Skate, which runs every Sunday morning, as a low cost way of bringing families into our park.
At C.J. Skateboard Park, we have a variety of different lessons and programs that people can attend. On Saturdays we offer a Beginner Group Lesson @ 10:00, a Girls Group lesson @ 12:00 and another Group Lesson @ 1:00.
One in particular that is growing and becoming very popular is our Beginner Group lesson. In our Beginner group lessons, we start off with a group stretch, and then our instructor will assess the different abilities of each student, and guide each of them in a direction to better their abilities. After the one hour lesson, students also get one hour of free skate to practice what they have learned. Our Beginner Group Lesson, in addition to Saturday morning at 10:00, is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 5:00pm and is only $20 and includes all rental safety equipment when you show us your CJ Membership card.

If you've got demo suggestions or opportunities, or you're interested in becoming a C.J. Team Rider, C.J. Demo Rider or even a C.J. Volunteer, you can contact Phil at philippe@cjskateboardpark.com, or at 416-259-6888.
We are more than happy to bring our best instructors and volunteers to your school, event, or special occasion to perform a demo, including a talk on safety and answering any questions the attendees might have about C.J.'s and what we're all about.

Memberships are recommended and save you a lot of money, quickly. Next time you come in, we may ask you to have your picture taken. Our Cards are only $10 and last an entire year, the renewal fee for our membership cards will be $10 per year!
